As public scrutiny of the aged care industry intensifies, the pressures on personnel running aged care organisations – particularly financial departments – can feel insurmountable. Government policies that demand better transparency and require data reconciliation from multiple sources are no doubt keeping some aged care financial controllers awake at night.
A common issue with human service providers is a lack of performance data. Of course the driving priority of an aged care service is the provision of quality care. But that is no longer sufficient when it comes to maintaining competitive ground in the marketplace.
